The time lapse was recorded using a Canon 5D MII which was set-up on a tripod in a custom built set. The camera was set to take an image every 30 seconds or so and the resulting sequence of images spliced together in post in Adobe After Effects.

With this shot the initial image was not that impressive, but I liked the texture of the play bark under the see saw and knew I could increase the contrast to make a striking image.
The below image was taken of the almost full moon on Monday 6th February 2012 in the UK at approximatly 9:30pm.
Taking pictures of your kids at the local park or playing on playgound equipment such as trim trails, swings and slides is a great opertunity to experiment with shooting styles and get something a little more unusual.
In the build up to Christmas, I thought I would kick off the inspiration side of Photography 101 by adding a nice Christmas image!
